More than any other reason, the current rise of the Green Movement can be attributed to the simple fact that it makes a great deal of sense on multiple levels. From the water we drink to the air we breath, this movement impacts those working and living in all property types, whether commercial or residential. Of course, increasing one’s environmental awareness combined with positive changes in individual behaviors and attitudes makes the world a healthier, safer place. But as countless companies and organizations have already experienced, including my own, “going green” makes sound business sense as well. Happily, the Green Movement affords all of us the opportunity to be both good citizens in our personal lives and solid corporate citizens in our respective professional realms.
With this in mind, Planned Companies is excited to continue to do its part in bettering the environment. We recently launched our “Go Green” initiative, which offers residential and commercial tenants, property owners and property managers a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification program along with a comprehensive, permanent commitment to the use of environmentally safe cleaning products and services for our clients. And we are developing many other elements to add to our “Go Green” initiative in the near future that will keep everyone at Planned Companies quite busy. And for us, this is just the beginning.
So, yes – I realize “going green” is quite the trendy topic these days. And that’s fine by me, because I also know that for millions of us in Generation X and beyond, it is a trend that is here to stay.
