We are using Pacific Timesheet (http://www.pacifictimesheet.com) for our corporate time tracking. The online ASP (or software-as-a-service SaaS) option saved us a lot of IT headaches, and we are very happy with the solution they provided. The best part is that it can be used for project management as well as basic time and attendance for payroll.

Just as big firms now market to small businesses, it also plays out vice versa. My company (a mere 10 employees), is currently going after a contract with the US Govt—the biggest of all companies. We've had to ensure our website looks professional. We revamped our phone system with Gotvmail. We even formalized out dress code! It's never been more important for small business to project it's ability to bark with the big dogs.

It is true, the internet provides small businesses the opportunity to have a broad presence in the market. Cloud computing provides access to technology that otherwise would be extremely expensive. The most advanced SaaS at the moment in the market is CRM systems for sure. There may be consulting needed when implementing, nevertheless web-based solutions are the most cost effective option right from the deployment stage to the monthly charges. More and more cloud CRM providers will continue to appear over the next several years in this highly competitive market. Extensive homework should be done in order to select the right vendor for your company needs. As a CRM consulting firm, we provide intelecrm, an online CRM solution with a unique pricing plan.
