is reporting that sponsored link advertising impressions on Google and Yahoo! grew from 55.4 billion to 64.3 billion--16 percent--between August, 2005 and last month. The company says that the numbers represent sponsored link impressions and respective search and contextual advertising on both networks. Yahoo! is showing the most growth. During the past half-year, its sponsored links jumped 21 percent to 23.2 billion, while Google's increased 14 percent to 41.1 billion. eBay is the top advertiser for each engine. The next three on Google are Local.com, Target Stores and Expedia. Yahoo's top draws after eBay are the University of Phoenix, Lending Tree and Target Stores.
