recent survey found that 95 percent of small businesses in Atlanta would be "devastated" if they lost the information on their computers. The firm says that almost 75 percent of the companies depend on outsiders to maintain their computer networks, but that they donít trust these firms with confidential customer records. Eighty-two percent of of responding companies never lost data due to an outage. Thirty-three percent of responding companies say that knowledge and 22 percent say that price and response time are the keys to choosing computer experts. Though the study focused on Atlanta, there is no reason to think that its findings arenít applicable elsewhere.
