One way to get iPhone-like functionality is to download the new Opera Mini browser, which lets you browse the Web on your phone or smartphone much like you do on the desktop.

The new version, which just came out of beta release, has a slew of upgrades and features but the thing that stands out is how it renders, or displays, Web pages. Like the iPhone, Opera displays a full version of a Web page and then lets you easily scroll, pan and zoom across it using simple controls. The effect is that you get to see a Web page just like it looks on your desktop.
The interesting question is: do you really want this?
I've found in my own mobile Web browsing -- at this moment, using a Treo 700wx -- that there are times when getting a simplified, one-column version of a Web site (particularly a blog) is the easiest way to consume it on my phone. Other times, it's better to work with a full-site display and zoom my way around it.
The nice thing with Opera is you've got the choice.
The Opera Mini browser, which works with any phone that supports Java apps (most phones these days), also synchs browser bookmarks, has integrated RSS reading, works in both regular and landscape mode and compresses pages for quicker downloads.
