Offline access to all Google Apps appears to be coming soon, knocking down one of the final barriers for small businesses to move to the 'Web Office' suite.




We've written about such online office tools in the past, including Google Apps, but the addition of offline capabilities -- via the Google Gears technology -- is a landmark.

From what I’ve seen, I think it’s clear that offline access is obviously still in its early stages, but it’s reassuring to see that Google is actively improving its online office applications to make them also work offline like the desktop applications we’re all used to.
