The service is simple but slick. You simply upload your PowerPoint or Keynote presentations and SlideShare gives you the tools to embed them in and distribute them through your Web site or a variety of blog and social network sites.

Visitors can view the slides right on your site or alternatively download the slides. It's a nice alternative to sending out a honking huge PPT file via email.
Slideshare landed some funding this week and includes some high-profile investors, ensuring it's not a fly-by-night Web 2.0 wannabe.
