Anyone who has ever tried to find a place to park in a mall parking lot in December—or ever been stuck in traffic on the off-ramp heading to the mall—knows malls are the most popular place to be this time of year! Having everything from major gifts to stocking stuffers and everything in between, all under one roof, is the best form of advertising and promotion.

Come January, though, how do malls separate themselves from the rest of the rugged retail competition? Some decline, of course, is to be expected after Christmas. But email marketing for malls is an inexpensive and efficient way for malls to minimize losses and keep business rolling well into the new year.

Email marketing software allows malls to remind shoppers of the convenience located nearby. Having so many options in one place is just as valuable the other 11 months out of the year, after all! These messages generated by email marketing for malls can provide a quick rundown of all that is available at the mall. Stores that are having sales can be prominently mentioned and the email also provides the opportunity to “spotlight” some of the smaller outlets that often offer those hard-to-find yet perfect items people are seeking.

Email marketing for malls is also a much more reasonable investment than traditional methods of advertisement such as newspaper and/or television ads or bulk mailings. Declining ad space and readership makes the newspaper a far less reliable source of promotion while DVR technology means it is quite likely the target audience for the commercial will skip right through it. And bulk mailings end up in the garbage the vast majority of the time.
