Summertime is the best time of year for ice cream shops! Everyone wants some relief for the heat and ice cream provides it in the quickest and tastiest fashion possible. But the flip side to everyone wanting ice cream is (seemingly) everyone selling it. It's more difficult than ever for ice cream shops to distinguish themselves from their competition. From the ice cream man driving down the street to the supermarket and its aisle filled with frozen treats, it is quite literally everywhere.

There is one largely untapped avenue of advertising and promotion for ice cream shops: email marketing.
