For generations now, maternity stores have relied on word of mouth to generate new customers. Women are exposed to plenty of these establishments during their pregnancies and are eager to share their experiences—good and bad—when their friends and family members become pregnant.

Still, in this economy, old-fashioned word of mouth can no longer be relied upon as the only means of spreading the message. Even timeless businesses such as maternity stores must be proactive in introducing themselves to a wider audience. And there is no better way to do that than with a maternity store’s email marketing plan! Here are five reasons why email marketing for maternity stores will be beneficial for all involved:

1.) It fits into any budget
There is no better or more cost-efficient way for a business to advertise and market itself. The email marketing software is inexpensive to purchase and easy to implement, which makes it a great investment from a financial and personnel standpoint. There's no need to hire extra staff to oversee the email marketing of maternity stores.

2.) Make a direct connection with consumers!
