DoubleClick Email Solutions has released a survey which says that email use for professional and personal purposes have merged. The company says that 57 percent of respondents occasionally view email from work during the day. Almost as many--55 percent--view work email from home in the evenings. Fifty-four percent do so over weekends, the survey says. Personal email is checked occasionally at work by 48 percent of respondents, while 21 percent do so often. The survey didnít break out numbers for small businesses, but it appears safe to assume that the mixing of business and personal email is greater among small business managers.
