Klein received a Ph.D. From Indiana University in 1965 and spent several years teaching and doing research in Theoretical Physics at various universities. He eventually left academia and became an entrepreneur, founding, growing and selling three profitable software companies. He was General Manager of Enterprise Integration at IBM/Lotus Development Corporation, which purchased his third company. His fourth venture, Loyalty Builders, has been analyzing customer behavior for major corporations for almost five years.
