As Vice President and General Manager of Enterprise Business Networks, Alex Pierson is responsible for all management functions for Nortel Networks Enterprise business unit. Specifically, he is accountable for the Succession IP Telephony and Meridian IP-Enabled product portfolio, including Succession IP PBX, Meridian 1, MSL-100 and Messaging. Mr. Pierson maintains a global focus on IP Telephony - driving Nortel Networks IP Enterprise strategy - with the company supplying four out of five Fortune 1000 enterprises with IP Telephony or IP-enabled voice solutions. During his 14-year tenure, Mr. Pierson has held positions in product development and management.
Mr. Pierson has presented at several trade events, including, VoiceCon, Voice on the Net, Global Connect, Comdex at the Fortune Magazine/Harvard Business Review sponsored by the Internet Telephony Summit.
Mr. Pierson graduated in 1980 from Queen’s University with a Bachelor of Commerce (Hon).
