Penchina founded her first company, Penchina Web Design LLC, and began developing websites over 10 years ago when the Internet was in its infancy and few foresaw the marketing power of the well-designed website. In creating Hudson Fusion through a merger with Design Works NY, Cindy looks forward to offering clients a more extensive portfolio of services.
Cindy was pursuing a Master’s degree in instructional technology – a blend of her background as a speech and language educator and her love of technology – when she decided to teach herself HTML and design websites part-time. An opportunity to create websites for the non-profit Westchester Alliance for Telecommunications and Public Access (WATPA) blossomed into a full-time career designing websites for non-profits organizations as well as corporations.
An advocate of giving back to her local and business communities, Cindy volunteers as Vice Chair of the Westchester Alliance for Telecommunication and Public Access to bring non-profit organizations to the Web. In that capacity, she created and developed the first Westchester County Board of Legislators website.
She has served on the Board of Directors of the Westchester Association of Women Business Owners and has been a regular contributing author to the Tailwind Network, a close-knit on-line community focusing on entrepreneurial efforts. Cindy founded and continues to operate an educational software line, Online Solutions for Educators, which brings Web publishing tools to parents, teachers and students.
Cindy received her undergraduate degree in Speech and Language Sciences from Hofstra University, and Master’s degrees in Instructional Technology and Communication Sciences from New York Institute of Technology and Winthrop College. She resides in Cortland Manor, New York.
